2. General Information

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. Personal data is only processed to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Processing of your personal data generally only takes place with your consent or where processing is permitted by law.

3. Hosting & Server Log Files

This website is hosted by IONOS SE (Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany). Each time our website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically records the following data in server log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the file accessed
  • Website from which access was made (referrer URL)
  • Browser used and, where applicable, the operating system

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website). Data is deleted after a maximum of 7 days. For more information, see IONOS's privacy policy: ionos.de/terms-gtc/datenschutzerklaerung.

4. Contact and Sample Report Forms

When you send us an enquiry via the contact form or request the sample report on this website, the data you enter is collected and stored. This includes:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Company
  • Primary use case
  • Free-text message field

When you request the sample report, we collect your first and last name, work email address, company and, optionally, your role.

Form processing via Formspree

Both forms are technically handled by Formspree (Formspree, Inc., 612 W 115th St, New York, NY 10025, USA). When you submit the form, your data is transmitted to Formspree, which forwards it to our email address. Formspree processes data on servers in the United States.

Note on data transfer to the USA: The USA is considered a third country under the GDPR. Formspree bases the transfer on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). For more information, see formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing enquiries). Data submitted is used solely to handle your enquiry and is not shared with third parties. It is deleted once your enquiry has been fully processed, provided no statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Google Fonts

This website uses Google Fonts (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) for consistent typographic presentation. When a page is accessed, your browser loads the required fonts from Google servers, transmitting your IP address to Google in the process.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the consistent and technically correct display of the website). Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For more information: policies.google.com/privacy.

6. External Libraries and Images

To display the interactive chart on our homepage, the open-source library Chart.js is loaded from the content delivery network jsDelivr. Country flags are loaded from flagcdn.com. When these resources are retrieved, your browser transmits your IP address and technical request data to the respective provider.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a fast and correctly displayed website). For more information, see jsdelivr.com and flagpedia.net.

7. Google Analytics (Google Tag)

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google Analytics collects usage data to help us understand how visitors interact with our website. The following data may be processed:

  • IP address (anonymised)
  • Pages visited and time of access
  • Referrer URL (page from which you arrived)
  • Browser type, operating system, and device type
  • Session duration and interaction events

Data is transmitted to Google servers and may be processed in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which provides an adequate level of data protection.

Note on IP anonymisation: We use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled (anonymize_ip). Your IP address is therefore truncated before transmission, so that it can no longer be used to directly identify you.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of website usage for optimisation purposes). You may opt out of tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For more information on how Google processes data, see: policies.google.com/privacy.

8. Cookies

This website does not use marketing cookies. Google Analytics (see section 7) stores cookies on your device (for example _ga) in order to distinguish visitors and sessions. Technically necessary cookies may additionally be set by the hosting provider (IONOS) to ensure the website operates correctly.

9. Your Rights as a Data Subject

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You may request information about the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You may request the correction of inaccurate data.
